About Juzs (Paras)
What is a Juz?
A Juz (also spelled Para) is one of the 30 equal parts into which the Quran is traditionally divided. This division was created to make it easier for Muslims to read the entire Quran during the 30 days of Ramadan, completing one Juz per day.
Why 30 Parts?
The 30-day division of the Quran allows Muslims to recite the entire Quran during the month of Ramadan. Each Juz contains approximately the same amount of text and takes roughly equal time to recite.
